The First to attain the SFJ Awards Level 3 Award For Professional Investigators
On Saturday, 14th March 2020 at The Civil Service Club, Great Scotland Yard, Westminster, London, SW1A 2HJ, Mike LaCorte and some of the Conflict International Limited team completed their SFJ Awards Level 3 Award for Professional Investigators – SFJ acquired the IQ Level 3 Award for Professional Investigators as recently as the 6th March 2020, so, this is an historic first. The first investigators to attain this prestigious award.
The exams were completed inside the Civil Service Club, Great Scotland Yard, Westminster, London SW1A 2HJ – the building was the original home of the Metropolitan Police and the first “Scotland Yard” – sending out the first plain clothed detectives and forming the original C.I.D for London. The Met Police still use the original stable block, next door to the CSC for their mounted operations.
Back in 2006 The Security Industry Authority (S.I.A), worked with Skills For Security and developed National Occupational Standards for private investigators. Richard Newman, then the President of the Association of British Investigators, chaired the panel that put those standards together.
